Town of Newburgh, NY - On Monday, September 30ththe Orchard Hills Apartment & Townhome Community located at 1 Kayla Court (9W at Cortland Drive) changed ownership between Orchard Hills of Newburgh, LLC and new owners Orchard Hills Landings, LLC whose parent company is Landings Real Estate Group of Newport, Rhode Island. The Rhode Island based firm becomes owner after its subsidiary, Landings Management, LLC, has served as the community's management company for that past 14 months.
The newly named Orchard Hills Landings Apartment & Townhome Community will continue to offer area residents an alternative to single-family home ownership. A recent study done by Pattern for Progress' Center for Housing Solutions found home loan applications in the New York counties of Ulster, Orange, Dutchess and Rockland fell 80.5 percent between 2005 and 2011. As the region's mortgage application rates continue to plummet, Orchard Hills Landings provides the region's booming rental market with 260 new market rate residences.
Orchard Hills Landings currently offers 1 and 2 bedroom apartment style homes along with 2 and 3 bedroom townhome style residences slated to be available in late 2013.
